Chapter 16 by Calamity_Jim

What's next?

A (Minotaur) Woman’s Appeal

In no time at all, Lisbeth had your apartment looking better than it did when you moved in. Her domestic side and the way she comforted you somehow made her more attractive.

“You keep ogling the cow.”

Suddenly, the jealous voice of Morgana rang in your head. It was jarring at first, but you remembered she stated you could communicate through thoughts now. Your eyes darted to the closet.

“I just think she’s doing an impressive job. Lisbeth has always been a diligent worker.”, you replied to Morgana in your head.

“Don’t lie to me, pet. Have you forgotten? I’m in your head. I know every dirty little thought that crosses your mind. You want Lisbeth even though you have a goddess like me.”

Morgana’s tone was meant to be playful, but you could tell there was a hint of her true feelings in what she said.

“Don’t worry, Morgana. This is Lisbeth we’re talking about. Nothing is going to happen.”

Morgana seemed to accept your answer, or at the very least didn’t respond further.

Meanwhile, Lisbeth continued to work. Her tufted tail swished happily as she hummed a tune.

You noticed when it came to your laundry, she became flustered. Her gaze became hazy, and her face reddened. You felt a little uneasy at the lewd face she was making. This was the same sort of behavior you had witnessed from her and Cerena yesterday. Morgana had also mentioned your scent. Could your power be having an effect on her? Eventually, she shook off the haze and continued on.

She finished up by looking in your fridge.

“Beer, Red Bull, and Chinese food so old it could be from the Ming Dynasty. Why am I not surprised?”, Lisbeth scoffed. “You can’t live on this, Jim. Not to keep bringing up the past, but did your ex-wife typically do the cooking?”

“Uh. No. I know how to cook, and I was usually responsible for it. I just…”, you trailed off for a minute feeling awkward. “I just haven’t been feeling up to it.”

“I understand you’re hurting, Jim, but killing your body with this garbage isn’t going to help.” Her tone was firm but filled with concern.

You gave her a sheepish look. Nothing she said was wrong.

“Thankfully, I was prepared for this.”, she said before leaving the apartment. She was gone only for a few minutes before returning with a bag of groceries.

“Lisbeth. You don’t have to…”, you started to say, but the minotaur girl cut you off with a snort. She dared you to continue your protests. You decided that, when it came to this strong-willed woman, it was best not to argue when her mind was set.

As she pulled out the groceries, you noticed a plethora of fresh ingredients including celery, potatoes, tomatoes, an onion, and carrots. Also from the bag came two glass containers of milk. Taking one of them, she brought it over to you.

“Here, Jim. Drink this. It’ll help keep your strength up and is way better for you than beer and energy drinks.” You gratefully took the bottle and took a gulp. It was really good with a rich creamy texture and subtle sweetness. It had been a long time since you had milk.

“What brand is this? It’s good.” You said before you took another big swig.

Lisbeth twitched nervously with a reddened face. “Oh, it’s a local brand. If you want more in the future, I can always get some for you.”

“I don’t want to put you out, but I really like this.” You chugged the remaining milk and let out a satisfied sigh. Lisbeth shifted uncomfortably while watching you finish.

“I…uh…should get started on cooking.”

Taking out a large pot, Lisbeth added ingredients as she stirred the concoction. Lisbeth was as adept at cooking as she was at cleaning, and soon the whole apartment filled with the enticing smell.

“That smells so good.” You said walking up to the kitchen to take a peek.

She pulled out a bowl and placed a large ladle-full of the food into it. You watched as steam wisped around it.

“Go sit on the edge of the bed for now, and I’ll bring some over.”

You realized at that moment how lacking your apartment was for having guests. You complied with Lisbeth’s request and sat on the edge of your mattress.

Lisbeth walked over to you while you sat up in bed and got down on her knees to be at your level.

Inside the bowl you saw a hearty soup filled with vegetables. The smell was fantastic and you realized you hadn’t eaten anything since the take-out last night.

“Thank you.”, you said while reaching out for the bowl, but Lisbeth quickly tapped your hands with the spoon.

“No, sir. I’ll feed it to you. You relax.”, you saw a sparkle in her eyes as she pulled a spoonful of the soup out and began to gently blow on it.

“She’s definitely flirting!” Morgana’s voice rattled in your mind.

“T-that’s not necessary! I can feed myself.”, you exclaimed while reaching once more.

Lisbeth’s eyes grew intense again and she let out another snort of air through her nose. You were stuck between a rock and a hard place here. Morgana would have to endure. Sighing with acceptance, you nodded.

“Say ‘ah’.”, Lisbeth said with a loving coo. You reluctantly opened your mouth to receive the soup. Embarrassment welled up inside you at this maternal treatment, but you didn’t want to incur her wrath by protesting further. Lisbeth brought the spoon to your mouth.

“Oh my god! This is amazing!”, you said as the flavors exploded in your mouth. Maybe it was the six months of takeout and garbage eating, but this might have been the best thing you ever tasted.

Lisbeth blushed while beaming at your response. “Even without meat in it? I know most humans like meat, but I prefer to let the vegetables take center stage.”

“I mean it. The sweetness of the carrots, the buttery texture of the potatoes, and the salty stock altogether is so good.” Without thinking, you opened your mouth again, eager to take in another bite.

Lisbeth stared deeply in your eyes as she cooled you next spoonful with her soft breath. You became aware of her full pink lips.

“I’m happy you like it.”, Lisbeth said.

The glimmer in her eye reminded you of the looks that Morgana gave you. You could sense that this meal wasn’t just for your health, but an appeal from a woman to a man. It felt like you could feel Lisbeth’s desire for you. The thought made you nervous.

“Monster girls are so intense!” You thought to yourself.

Lisbeth continued feeding you like that until the whole bowl was finished.

In your head, you could hear the jealous whispers Morgana kept repeating, “Too close. Too close. Too close. Too close. Too close. Too close. Too close. Too close. Too close.”

You tried to soothe her, but she wasn’t listening.

After finishing, you felt warmth deep inside you. It was a satisfying and comfortable feeling that came with closeness and a home-cooked meal.

“Thank you, Lisbeth. I can’t remember the last time I ate something that good. I feel better already.”

Lisbeth gave a satisfied look as if she had accomplished some hidden goal. “I’m glad that I could be here for you. I really have been worried about you, and since yesterday it’s been hard to get you off my mind.” She stared into your eyes for a moment. It was a loving gaze that didn’t belong between a supervisor and employee…or even friends for that matter.

It was then you noticed Morgana’s glowing pink eyes staring at the two of you through a crack in the closet door.

Her expression wasn’t hard to read. Jealousy was strewn on it, and her eyes gleamed with a dangerous light.

“This cow needs to learn her place!”

You could see tendrils begin to creep their way out, and you snapped out of the trance that Lisbeth had put you in.

“L-look. I really appreciated you looking after me, Lisbeth. I think it’s time for you to go though. I’ll need to rest for work tomorrow. Anything more than this might complicate things.”

Lisbeth looked a bit disappointed. It was as if she was hoping for something more to happen, but she shook her head to expel her disappointment.

“I understand, Jim. It has been a long day, and you need to recover.”

She got up and collected her things. You followed her to the door. You were sweating while hoping to avoid a confrontation.

Lisbeth paused for a moment in the doorway before stomping her foot resolutely and whirling around. At once you found yourself in her firm embrace again, this time there was more than just gentle comforting intended.

Lisbeth held you with a sense of desire in her aura that you could almost taste. She clung tightly as if making sure you felt her body as much as possible. This wasn’t the comforting embrace from earlier. There was lust here.

Your hand fell naturally to her waist causing her to shiver. You could feel it as she breathed in your scent deeply and without subtlety. Then, she lifted your chin and planted a kiss on your lips. Her large and flat tongue probed gently as it caressed yours. Her kiss was tender and loving, and you felt her body vibrate as you returned it. It lasted briefly, but that was enough to put you in a stupor.

Lisbeth pulled away reluctantly, continuing to hold your chin up to stare into your eyes. She gently whispered, “It’ll be alright, Jim. You’ll feel better soon. Anytime you need me to come help, let me know.”

With that she took off quickly, leaving you stunned for a moment as you processed what had just transpired between you and your typically gruff boss. When she was no longer in sight, you shut the door.
