18 year old twins

James and Jessalyn Cole could not wait to move out. They had lived with their step-mother, who after their father had died of a heart attack caused by an undetected heart defect when they were 16. When Jessalyn had come out as gay, their stepmother Frances would constantly belittle and insult Jessalyn.

James was 6'0 with a medium build, curly red hair, hazel eyes and average looks, and his sister was 5'9 with long curly red hair, slender build and hazel eyes with average looks. James was going to major in computer science, and Jessalyn in Psychology.

James and Jessalyn graduated from high school then turned 18 in June and moved into a small two bedroom apartment. They had just enough money from their dad's estate to pay for six months rent and a year's worth of tuition at the local branch of the state university, just six blocks from their apartment.

As they moved in, James found a dusty box on the top shelf of his closet. It was way in the back and he was lucky to notice it. He brought it out into the living room where they just had a small love seat and a coffee table they had found on the curb. Jack set it down and opened the box.

Jessalyn walked in from her bathroom. "What's that?"

"Don't know. Just found it." James opened it and pulled out an old 1980s style word processor. "Wow, this thing is old."

"Geez louise," Said Jessalyn. "Think it still works?"

"Why, we both have laptops."

"I don't know. Just try it."

James plugged it in, and it powered on. "Seems to work," said James.
