Chapter 12 by Verdant_Hatchling Verdant_Hatchling

What happened?

“Is this what you would be?”

Clark heard a mighty voice ask him. “Without me, you'd be such a pitiful creature? Beaten by such lacking circumstances? Disappointing.”

He looked around for the source desperately, trying his hardest to remember where he’d heard it before. He looked behind him, the fridge was massively dented, no damage to him though, he found.

Clark solemnly closed his eyes. And when he did, he saw a much larger, superior version of him which was suddenly familiar in a strange way. He reached upwards, and felt the horns he no longer had, or no longer saw, actually.

He breathed inwards, and shouted.

Breathing flames upon the unseen assailant.

Damon awoke from the special abilities of this creature, as it was burning on the ground. Its fingers had been **** into his eye sockets, and he had been put into an illusion of fear.

He suddenly recognized the creature as an Illithid, or a Mind Flayer.

Damon stormed from his throne to before the singed monster, awakening his familiars which had been similarly affected, surprise apparent on their expression, but fear when they saw the Mind Flayer.

But Damon was upon the defeated creature, his Monstrous Strength activating, as the body of the Illithid was promptly punched into nonexistence. His attacks surpassed any defense the monster could possibly hope to mount as it was quickly rendered dead, a bloody splatter across the ground.

Damon was seething, as well as struggling to reel in his breathing, as he released a mighty Dragon’s Breath of fire, dissipating the blood, as well as a thirty foot area around it, as the ground too was destroyed a hundred feet deep, leaving a massive crater of smoldering rock

“We have to find somewhere else to live, come on guys.” He coldly instructed as he flew through the roof at lightning quick speeds. His allies solemnly followed, disappointed in their failures.

As Damon flew through the sky, his mind was racing through the dream he’d been afflicted with. He had cowered so quickly, he was ashamed. Though Mind Flayers were known for their abilities, he was blessed by a God. He had assumed he would be invulnerable to everything, but he had clearly miscalculated.

As he was flying, he accepted the last of the original Transmigration Starter Kits.

As Damon was soaring through the skies, he saw the skill he’d been given and had to do a double take. He stopped in his tracks, braced himself, and went to lift the land beneath him.

The plain that he was attempting to lift was as large as the city he had started in. The land surrounding the plain began to splinter, as the mass of many thousands of tons lurched upwards with immeasurable ****. This was far more **** than Omnikinesis could even hope to reproduce.

Though the mass was being lifted, the structure of the region was kept fairly intact. The fauna inhabiting the lands were mostly uninhibited, and the flora was able to live on without issue.

Over the course of the next two hours, the floating landmass was nearly a thousand feet in the air, leaving his entourage in complete awe.

Dirpe, within Ember’s hold, had no real gauge to base it upon, but Ember was in awe. Not even an ancient earth elemental would be capable of such movement, and Damon seemed uncaring in his illogical actions, as if he was barely trying.

Though the reality was quite different, as Damon's skull was nearly bursting from exertion. He stood motionless in the sky for over five more hours, and the landmass reached a final height of forty five thousand feet up.

Higher than any structure in existence, in either of the worlds he’d inhabited, higher than Mount Everest. Any humanoid being would die far before they reached it, and even Dragons would struggle to survive at these altitudes, but luckily, as Proctiv’s Move Mountain was completed, a barrier of breathable air was formed around the hovering island.

Damon brought the groups to land upon the land, and as they arrived they witnessed that within a hundred feet of the floating island, there was barely any gravity as they floated from it. Any who passed the hundred foot radius would surely fall to their deaths, unless they fell back within the field.

As the group wandered through the surprisingly peaceful lands he’d brought to near space, he witnessed the fauna traversing the tranquil landscapes. They made their ways toward an uninhabited region of the island.

Reaching a relatively flat area, Damon was thinking deeply, before accepting a legendary Skill Draw, and was promptly surprised and ecstatic.

Seeing the skills he’d been granted, he was grateful, but he was quick to cast the first.

He put two million mana into the spell, and was immediately met with the eruption of an obsidian shade of stone bursting into the shape of a mighty throne room, and further, a grand castle formed, to a scale with which a large dragon could maneuver, though Damon’s greater form would not fit.

The large castle formed from the obsidian surged upwards, many basement layers forming as a grand mountain formed beneath it, perfectly flattened at the peak where the manor resided.

Damon gazed upon the throne and waited. Ember jumped to it, her form coating it with a waxy finish before the metallic orb enveloped the throne in a razor sharp adornment, now ever ready to attack any threat.

Damon went to cast the second spell, and was surprised when an ethereal sphere expanded from him, and then his throne, as he willed it. The sphere expanded to encompass his entire obsidian palace.

What next?
