Okato read the runes a second time, making sure she hadn't mistranslated anything. But no, that was definitely what the glyph said.

Okato's face curled into a grimace of disgust and bemusement. Fertile female... that word choice definitely led her to insinuate that something nefariously sexual was in the works here. Was some heinous pervert really using advanced transportation magics just to draw her students out to a cabin in the woods and have his way with them?

No, not her students... there hadn't been any other disappearances like this, Digit was the first. Yet the glyph didn't specify a fairy, so the caster couldn't have known exactly who was coming. And why did they need this glyph anyway? If they had cast the spell to drag Digit into this forest in the first place, surely they could just be waiting nearby instead of preparing a second teleportation spell.

As she pondered, Okato happened to cast her eyes over towards the fountain. In the clear waters of the basin, she noticed a shiny green gemstone lying at the bottom.
