(Subplot) Progress Report

"Hmm, I've had a message from my minion. It seems like there has finally been some action at the mansion" Rebecca announced as she checked her phone with one hand and stroked the iguana on her lap that Sophie currently was with the other.

Sophie responded with a clicking sound. Rebecca had decided not to give her a voice during this particular transformation. She had been asking too many questions of late, and the witch preferred not to be unnecessarily distracted from other matters.

"I'm bringing her here now Soph, let's see what she has to say!"

Moments later, the pleasing naked form of Tania had materialised into the room.

"Hello beautiful girl!" Rebecca smiled "My, don't you scrub up nicely in the flesh!"

"Hello Rebecca. You authorised me to take action if I was compromised. I wanted to let you know I had to make a couple of moves last night"

"A couple?" Rebecca raised an eyebrow as she continued to stroke Sophie like a bond villain "I hope that was absolutely necessary"

"It was" Tania assured her "I needed to silence Alexandra. I tried to find a way around it that didn't involve magic but it was impossible"

"The toad?" Rebecca asked with surprise "I thought I had already silenced her well enough"

"She had this almost telepathic understanding with Barbara. And she just wouldn't get off my case"

"I see. So what did you do with our slimy friend?"

"I used a potion to turn her into a statue. Then I dropped her off in a charity shop"

Rebecca threw her head back in laughter "Oh, that's priceless! I'm tempted to buy her myself, I'm sure she won't cost much! But it might be funnier to see what kind of loving home she ends up in. So who else did you zap?"

"I needed another frog so nobody realised Lexie was missing, that would cause too much drama. And Margaret had been working pretty hard at trying to use AI tools to track you down. So I looked at it as a kind of two birds with one stone deal"

"Ooh, you hear that Soph. Sounds like Maggie was trying to carry on your good work and it ended badly for her too" Rebecca smirked as she stroked her pet.

Wait, that lizard was Sophie? Tania thought to herself. Rebecca seemed to be awfully attached to her. Still, it wasn't her place to judge.

"Clever girl. It sounds like you made some smart moves" Rebecca approved "Is there anything else you need to tell me?"

"Cassandra was talking about how you may have gone quiet but it wasn't a truce and the glitches needed to make a move soon" Tania confided "I was thinking maybe I should get ahead of that and transform her next?"

"Woah, calm down there Sabrina Spellman!" Rebecca smirked "Let's not try and do too much too soon. You can leave Cassie to plot for now. Just keep an eye on her"

"Sure, whatever you say!"

Rebecca looked at Tania and smiled fondly. She could see the disappointment in her eyes.

"It's intoxicating isn't it, using magic on people?" Rebecca smiled as she continued to fondle lizard Sophie "Having that kind of power over someone"

"Oh God yes" Tania admitted "I mean, when I transformed Maggie..."

Tania decided not to finish that thought. The truth was she couldn't stop thinking about that moment though. It had been so hot! A beautiful, naked woman had been reduced to a lowly amphibian right before her eyes, just because she had decided to make it happen. It was power beyond her wildest imagination and she couldn't wait to use her new found magical abilities on somebody else.

"I get it. That's why I insist on keeping Sophie here around" Rebecca continued to caress her pet almost lovingly "How much potion did you use?"

"Maybe about half a vial in both Lexie and Maggie's cases. I didn't want them turning back too quickly"

"Bloody Hell Tania, you won't need to worry about that. They are going to be stuck in their current forms for months!" the witch explained "I tell you what. Seeing as you are doing such an excellent job, I'm going to replenish your chest. I'll provide you with some new potions you haven't had access to before. A bigger, more varied spell book. Maybe even a few fun new trinkets. It should give you some different options."

"Really? That would be amazing!" Tania enthused.

"But the same rules apply. No spells or potions get used on glitches unless I tell you to or unless you feel you absolutely have to"

"Understood" Tania nodded "I should probably be getting back before the glitches start to notice my absence"

"Good thinking. If you call an Uber now you can be in Beaconsfield within the hour!"

"What? Really?" Tania asked nervously.

"No, of course not!" the witch laughed as she teleported Tania out of the room and back to the mansion.
