Chapter 3 by Reficul Reficul

What does he do?

(It) Test it out, obviously.

Val Carmen needed to test this magical book out, in a way that didn't have the chance of destroying the time line or something.

Right now it was 'Version 294', and seeing from the rules, that meant it had been at 293 before... That had some freaky ramifications, meaning that reality had been altered a total of 292 times or even 293 times before he got access to it.

...He chose not the think about it for now, he just had to test some things.

First one would obviously be something immediate; Hygiene.

Smelling like literal trash wasn't one of his fetishes, so it was time to write:

Recently washed up and is wearing a new pair of business clothes.

Why business clothes? No particular reason actually, it just seemed the easiest way to look professional as a beggar of 2 years.

He took a look, and again he had changed before he even got to realize it.

Now wearing a generic three-piece business suit, he found it apt to get out of dodge before any of the **** homeless people were attracted to his location by means of smelling where there wasn't a trash smell.

"Him!"

'???' In confusion, he looked back and saw a dynamic cop duo and a near naked man in his underpants.

-The damn book was messing with him.

He opened it up and quickly added to his last addition the two words; 'Lawfully purchased.'

After a moment, he found the two police sitting around while the man that was just naked casually walking past him with his own business suit.

'Lesson learned, no more vague writing.' He thought to himself, as he noticed the weird looks he was getting for having a weird tome out in public.

Finding another easy way to test it out, he readied his writing hand and wrote:

Him having a book of any kind on his person at any time is completely normal and no one will bat an eye at it nor think about stealing the book from him.

He took a look around, and it worked. Not a single person was even slightly more concerned about him than any below-average looking guy with a business suit one could find on the street.

The book seemed pretty trustworthy, or these were his final moments and he was dreaming about some fantasy unknown to him.

He liked the former, so he was going to stick with it for now.

He was still kind of antsy to test a few things out, but no ideas were popping out to him in an instant.

What else could he try?
