(During Sabaody)

"Damn it Akaba," Nakaba muttered, thinking back to the incident. "You better be alright."

He heard laughter echo beyond the rich-wood walls as he reached out for the earrings, enclosed in the bag.

"Aw yeah," his eyes twinkled as he pulled out the two gleaming trinkets, "we still got these, though."

Nakaba studied the two N's with blank eyes. They were given to him by an unassuming stranger while passing through a small town, who told him they held 'dangerous power'.

Of course, Akaba didn't believe them. But Nakaba, well, he had been figuring out a way to try them out for a week now. He wanted to try to convince splitting it between them, but it was a bit late now...

Bed creaking from under him, Nakaba puckered his lips and raspberried.

Forget about just the powers, he tittered, these are perfect. 'N', for the great Nakaba? Who cares if it's a trap, I'm walking into it!

The brothers had been thinking of selling them off or getting them evaluated by a collector. Nakaba mentally shrugged. That could wait. After all, first thing to take care of was figuring out where he was. Raising one earring to his ear, he began attaching them glibly.
