“Hey, dork.”

Meg’s eyes narrow. It’s the next day. She’s standing in the shared dorm bathroom, wrapped in a towel, brushing her teeth.

She doesn’t remember last night’s little trip to Hell. As far as she knows, she’s still completely in control of her little pet demon. And that’s just how you like it.

“Give me that,” says Cass, making a grab for Meg’s towel. She’s a tall, curvy, powerfully built gender studies major with a hot pink streak in her short blonde hair. She’s always reminded Meg, a comics fan, of the superheroine Power Girl, for two big obvious reasons. “Come on. You’re not using it.”

Meg takes a step back, managing to save her towel. “Leave me alone, Cass.”

“I’m just having fun. Why are you so lame?” Cass is notorious in the mixed-gender dorms for snatching people’s towels, stealing their clothes while they’re in the shower, putting ice down their panties while they sleep and generally playing all kinds of hilarious pranks. She’s very popular with everyone except her target of the moment.

“I don’t think your little jokes are very funny.”

“I disagree. Anyway, you can try to snatch my towel if you like. It’s only fair.”

“You’re way stronger than me!”

“So what?” says Cass, making another attempt on Meg’s one item of coverage. Both girls are nude under their towels, of course, since it would be inconvenient to get all the way dressed just to shower and brush your teeth in the morning. “Life’s tough, snowflake. Try working out.”
