How do you respond?
"Just out looking for one"
You respond sarcastically while smirking yourself as you pass her by.
She throws daggers at you with her eyes before angrily muttering "worthless slut" under her breath and turning on her heel and heading upstairs.
You stop for a moment, think about maybe saying something back. But deep down you know that's what you were ... but things were about to change. You knew it. So you just walk down the stairs with your head raised high.
When you walk outside the weather is perfect. Warm sun glances on your skin - perhaps even to strongly - but the gentle breeze evens it out. You exhale sharply with relief as the door fall shut behind you. And the stress is quickly replaced with joy as you feel the sun hit your bare skin. You lean your head back slightly, letting the sun play over entire face.
You see Michael, older gentleman who lives on a ground floor is watering flowers in a small garden in front of your building. He's about sixty years old, with white hair and short beard. Time was good to him, and his physical activities kept him lean and nimble.
While you admire the garden that he could probably win some rewards for. He admires your pierced body before whistling under his nose and waves at you. He's sweet and friendly - but a men after all!
"Oh. Alex! Where are you heading out today?" he greets you with a broad smile, turning off his hose, and puts his hands in the pockets of his overalls. Only thing besides rubber boots that he's wearing.
“I’m just off to meet some friends. Maybe get a job?” you respond with a genuine smile towards a fellow member of the proletariat.
He chuckles and responds with "Better not!" and laughs cheerfully before nodding politely and signalling that he's satisfied with the small talk before going back to watering his peonies.
