"Just journeying through."

The mother nods, understandingly. "On your way to the duchess's castle?"

Although you do not know what place she is talking about, you nod.

"But he won't make it there before nightfall, mama." The blonde daughter quickly glances at you, before turning back to her mother. "Shouldn't we shelter him?"

The mother hesitates, but after a few more pleading words she gives in. "If the good man wishes so."

You have quite a lot of questions on your mind? Where are you? Still in your own world? Is this just a dream? Oder has the strange light transported you ... somewhere else?

Maybe staying here for a while, you can get answers on those questions. And saying no to the blonde girl, smiling pleadingly at you like that, would be just too cruel.

So you stay with them for the evening, that, as the mother said, quickly approaches. The mother tells you, that her husband has gone to town with their two younger daughters and their only son. "Otherwise he would have welcomed you in as well, of course."

As food is prepared, the blonde daughter, Ana, circles around, throwing you smiles, winking, and walking past you closer then necessary. She goes on babbling about how the weather's been lovely the last weeks, how her chores tire her ... and that she still hasn't found a man to wed. Her dark sister, meanwhile, stays quiet.

After dinner, night quickly falls. The hut consists of two rooms. You are given the honour of sleeping by the fireplace, that is slowly burning out. The women move into the other room and huddle under a blanket. The soothing sound of the fireplace quickly makes you fall asleep.

You awake in total darkness. You feel that something warm has crawled under your blanket. A soft hand reaches out for you. "Be my first man", a voice whispers. It is not the blonde girl, though, but her sister.
