we switched positions.

This time Anna and me took positions opposite of Darleen and Tom. Darleen served and played to me. I hit the shuttlecock as far back as I could. I took a few steps back in case Tom would hit harder than I expected and Anna placed herself in front of the net. Tom stood perfectly behind the little projectile and it looked like he would play it somewhere far behind our side of the net, so Anna took a few steps back. The shuttle flew like a bullet, hit the net, and toppled over it onto our side. Anna tried to save it and jumped forward, but tripped and fell. The sports shorts were short alright. We lost the first point point. And over the course of the match we lost a few more, but we kept control of the game and eventually won.
In the end our experience was more of an advantage than Darleen's beginners luck.
We played two more matches and mixed up teams again. In the first of the two games I was on a team with Darleen. I felt like she wanted us to lose, so it was no surprise we did. For the last match Darleen wanted to have another go against Tom and me. By the end of the day we where exhausted but still undefeated.

"It think I need a shower.", sweat was dripping down Darleen's face and neck.
"You're not the only one", Anna laughed and pointed around.
All of us had sweat marks on our clothes. Tom was the least sweaty.
"There are showers here but I wouldn't recommend using them. I don't know about the girls showers but the showers for boys are pretty unclean."
"Naa, the girl showers aren't that great either. A little to cold for me, but somewhat clean."
Darleen looked a little concerned and said,
"Well... I would still like to get cleaned up here bevor I go home. Would you stay here with me Anna? You could shower yourself too."
