too the bathroom

i had to take care not to unplug anything vital as i worked my unsteady way out of my hospital bed but after some trying i got myself free. i used my rolling IV tree for balance as i hobbled to the bathroom. once inside i turned on the light. the sudden brightness blinded me and my eyes ached at its harshness but my eyes slowly adjusted.

my head was wrapped like a mummy but thicker on the sides above my ears. it wasnt very promising. something terrible must have happened, i was thinking that i'd gotten lucky as i got myself a drink.

if my injury was so terrible why was i able to move myself around so, comparatively, well?
