Chapter 9 by Hisashi Hinata Hisashi Hinata

Within her stomach...

...there was no one inside.

Judy sighed, unable to feel anything inside her stomach nor hear a response to her question that would indicate that someone was inside. She couldn't have eaten anyone; she was just a bunny after all...

Despite that, she did have doubts thanks to the earlier incident with Clawhauser when she managed to fit his pudgy paws in her mouth. She slowly started to calm down groaning as she rubbed her head and sat up a bit higher. Fortunately, it seemed that her massive lunch was enough to sate her sudden cravings. The only question that remained was whether it would stay that way...

As Judy sat there with her violently groaning belly, more questions began to to fill her mind. Why was she so hungry for other animals, despite being a bunny? Who swapped the evidence for the night howler? What were in those berries? Were those even berries at all?

There was only one animal who could answer these questions.

"Bellwether..." Judy quietly said to herself, realizing that she was the only animal who could be behind this. She internally smacked herself to falling into what could be the biggest trap that she could have possibly fallen into, but now was not the time to be sorry for herself. The bunny steeled her resolve, set on getting as many answers as possible out of Dawn, else she had to deal with yet another onset of predatory hunger.

But first, she had to deal with what's in front of her. She took a deep breath before she heaved herself onto her feet, her belly sagging low and hanging out of her uniform, the bottom of her belly flat on the floor and sticking out a whole 2 feet in front of her. There was no possible way she could hide her belly from being exposed as it is, especially with her shirt being all folded and curled up to her chest, so she simply had to live with it until she could hopefully lose it. Her feet could pretty much handle the newfound weight of her stomach, sure, but her back, not so much, having to arc her back to accommodate for the weight.

"This... is going to be... O-Orrrp... a long day..." Judy groaned lowly to herself as she left the mess hall, heading towards the evidence room before leaving. She had to grab an important piece of evidence before she could confront the villainous sheep within the precinct's jail cells.

Just as Judy feared, walking through the police station was quite awkward, many of the officers passing by either giving her strange looks or outright stopping to chat with her, mostly about her sudden growth spurt in her stomach area, to which always responded with herself being pregnant. She had never been so grateful for the fact that rabbits are good at reproducing. Luckily, the awkward air of the station faded once she was able to squeeze herself into her patrol car, immediately taking a drive to the very prison nearby that held Bellwether as one of their inmates.

Once Judy arrived at the prison and got everything situated, having to face a few awkward questions about her gut in the process, she was eventually allowed to meet with Bellwether. After a bit of searching and a lot more awkwardness due to prisoners suddenly seeing a bunny with a belly twice as big as herself, she reached the cell that contained Bellwether... and the second the rabbit had laid eyes on the sheep, she could tell that she wasn't taking the loss very well.

Inside the cell, Bellwether was sitting with a rather spiteful glare at her hooves, constantly writhing and wiggling her hoofed hands in a rather eerie and vengeful fashion. She was so focused on her own hooves that she didn't even notice the bunny walk up to the cells bars.

"Bellwether..." Judy addressed, catching the attention of Bellwether, who stared straight into the bunny's eyes with a burning hatred hidden behind her rather soft looking exterior. The sheep huffed before she spoke up in a growl filled tone.

"Traitor..." Bellwether responded, getting up from her bed and walking up closer to the bars. Judy returned the glare, refusing to back away from the monstrous animal.

"Who am I even a traitor to?" Judy asked with a bit of disdain.

"To us, Judy," Bellwether said, placing her hoofed hands against her chest. "To us prey! You just had to side with them, didn't you? I don't deserve to be in here! You've committed a crime just as bad as I did! If anything, you should be the one behind bars!"

Judy rolled her eyes and shook her head, not in the mood to humor the sheep's twisted logic and prejudice any further. On the bright side, she was secretly graceful that Bellwether was so blindly wrathful that she had yet to notice the belly she was sporting.

Time to interrogate.
