the waitress comes around and takes orders...

As the six of you start to break in to two separate conversation at the table. Kate and Viola start chatting and Marshall hones in on that conversation. Meanwhile, Meryl starts talking to Julie about Julie’s freshman year at college, which she had just finished. You joined that conversation as naturally as you were able. It turns out Julie is studying economics, which you of course knew a great deal about.

Your conversation was momentarily interrupted by the arrival of a cocktail waitress. The waitress was attired in a way totally befitting the bar’s overall décor. She has slightly loose fitting jeans that are torn in all the right places and a tight black tank top that didn’t quite reach the waist of her jeans, which were resting very low on her hips. She had tattoos that covered her sleeves, and you could see the bottom of a tattoo just over her pelvis. Long hair that was clearly dyed black, and was wrapped up in a loose bun in the back of her head.

“Hey guys, what I can get you all to drink? Just please don’t say beers, this place is pretty quiet, and I’m hoping you guys can liven things up a bit,” the waitress says with an enormous smile. Despite her appearance, she is obviously incredibly friendly.

As she’s going around the table taking down people’s orders, you’re slightly transfixed, and every time she finishes writing something down, she glance in your direction ever so slightly. Then she turns to you to take your order.

“I’ll take a Manhattan, please.”

“Manhattan, nice choice, I’ll throw an extra cherry in there for you,” the waitress said with a wink before heading back to the bar.

“Well, it looks like Robert has a fan. Meryl, you’d better better lock this guy down or he’s liable to wonder off with the waitress,” said Kate, eliciting giggles from everyone except Meryl.

“That’s not very nice, sis, Meryl isn’t like you, she doesn’t just throw herself at every guy she sees. The waitress is cute though Robert, you should definitely try to get her number,” said Julie.
