the new sister

Sarah and Tom were both at a loss for word. Sarah stood staring while Tom kept looking back and forth between the two girls, his mouth gaping open like a fish.

"Oh stop that!" the other Sarah admonished. "Get over here so we can talk."

They both approached the steps. "Who...what are you?" Tom finally asked.

"Really? Who do you think?" she snarked. "I'm Natalie, Sarah's twin sister. Remember, Tom?" She turned to Sarah. "And the last part of the wish you tossed in? for a twin sister who is like you 'in almost every way'? Well I am - so I remember being Sarah, married to Tom, even the wish you crafted. Everything." She shook her head in mock dismay. "At least you gave me another name, so I think of myself as 'Natalie' - otherwise this would be very confusing."
