Melissa’s mom looked at her daughter with a look of shock on her face and sat there for a moment frozen. When she could think again, she saw that Melissa had a scared look on her face.

Melissa was surprised by her mom’s response, she thought that her mom would be shocked, possibly even mad. Instead her mother seemed accepting, her mother also seemed to be coming on to her.
