As I heft the GSR that Alicia had given me I had a momentary flash back to when I used to hunt with my father and uncle Rich in the woods of Oklahoma. It was one of the few times that I ever got to spend any time with my father other than when I had to go to his office at the big corporation that he owned. My revelry is broken by the sounds of gunfire; looking towards the noise I see Alicia and Welkin pinned by two of the imps on the hill. One is prone and the other is standing up taking shots at the sand bags that both my comrades are behind.

Sighting the standing imp I notice that the gun felt… odd. It felt like a rifle with a scope rather than a REAL sniper rifle. Remembering my time hunting and the tips I take stoke of the wind, distance, even the humidity is accounted for as I begin my prayers. “ Oh great god emperor my you guide my hands in defense of your sons and daughters through the **** of thy enemies praise be to thou god emperor.” Taking a breath I pull the trigger and fell the kick.

Both Alicia and welkin head the distinctive gunshot then they hear a short **** cry before hearing “ Ivan!” being screamed. Welkin nodes to Alicia and pops up and sight the crouching imp, Alicia is just a second after him and together they unload a clip into impearl soldier. “ Gallian scum I’ll kill yo-.” The enraged imperial soldier doesn’t get a chance to finish his sentence as a gun shot is heard and his head snaps to the side and he falls down dead.” Alicia releases her breath and looks towards welkin and they both begin to laugh.
In the aftermath I help with digging graves the bodies of the murdered civilians and in that moment two things hit me. The first is that I will not rest until every single imperial soldier is dead by my hands, the second is that life will be much more interesting .
