making mental changes without the coin

Tom had many ideas he was eager to try and with the last wish, he knew Sarah wouldn't be upset AFTER the wish. But he wasn't sure if Sarah would agree to some of them beforehand. He had thought about it all week and finally felt he had a way to approach her.

So that Friday when they sat down to talk, Tom made his proposal. "Sarah, you were right about how powerful the coin is, how we need to be careful. So I was thinking, maybe we can use the coin for one bigger wish, then not have to use it for awhile."

She gave an inquisitive look. "Bigger wish? What kind?"

He **** himself to keep calm and measured, to sound thoughtful but a bit unsure. "Well, we've seen the coin can change more than you depending on how the wish is worded. If we want to try any radical, we might change things more than intended - risky with the mental changes especially, I think. So maybe I can use a wish to let me change you multiple times without affecting anything else.:

"Okay..." she said, "and how would you work that?"

Tom answered "Something like wishing that your mind would change as I want - that I could completely change your memories & personality by saying so, like 'Sarah, be a stripper.' Or even more elaborate, like 'Sarah, be a masseuse and yoga instructor named Sonja.'"

She laughed at the later example. Tom continued "So we could do any mental changes without repercussions. And no chance of changing your body, or friend's perspectives, or anything else. Completely safe. Then when we're ready to something bigger, like change your appearance again, we can use the coin."

Sarah thought it over. "That's not bad, Tom. I think that sounds good." She gave him a wry smile. "In a way I'm giving you even more control - but at least it won't be as dangerous as using the coin."

"Ready to try," Tom asked, trying to hide his eagerness. Sarah nodded, but stopped him just before he spoke, adding "put in a safety net. Like the changes only last 24 hours. That way if something should happen - like we're separated - I won't be stuck that way. Okay?"

"Okay," Tom agreed wanting to get started. He made the wish with Sarah's addendum, then asked "so, ready to be changed?"

"Let's do it!" she responded.

Tom felt elated as he was free to change her in a way he was certain she would have balked at. But which to choose? A **** fantasy? ****? Something completely degrading? He chose and silently made the change.
