This place was....
...her subconscious?
The frantic stream of thoughts had faded to a faint whisper, like a gentle breeze. You could still feel her (this was her mind after all) but her presence was...less chaotic. Where before it had been a frenetic explosion of thoughts, images, and words that blasted you from all sides now her presence pushed gently on you, a soft current dragging irresistibly by. Similar to a river actually or maybe an ocean. It felt warm, somewhat choppy, and there was the weirdest prickly feeling, like you were immersed in carbonation.
As you surf the deeper regions of her mind the waves smooth and the prickly sensation dissipates. It takes you a moment for you to realize you're interpreting her emotions. "She must be calming down." You hadn't meant to project the thought but it echoes softly as though you'd spoken aloud. You could be imagining it but you swear the waves smooth slightly as your thought echoes over them. This could take some getting used to. After the sensory overload of having a body again and then having to share higher thought processes with a freaked out girl, this place was downright boring. Relaxing, in its own way, but boring. Letting out a mental sigh you contemplate your options.
