"We'll take the Dive tubes," I replied.

"The dive tubes? What are those?"

"Legend has it that when we arrived on the planet, we used to live above the ground. Then the Gods showed us the wickedness of uor ways, blackening the skies and searing the skin. We escaped through the dive tubes, deep into the Earth."

"but that legend is just a piece of outdated myth!" she cried,"Everybody knows we evolved here, underground!"

I sighed, then said, "the legend may be suspicious, but the fact is, the tubes do exist.
They go all the way to the core."

She looked at me skeptically, then asked,"and you know where these mythical holes are?"

my affirmative only made her more suspicious.

"and how do you know where these tubes are, that no-one has been able to find for hundreds of thousands of years?" she asked.

I said, "because I've been there."
