Shiro went through the forest, dimly lit by the orange glow between the trees that was sunset. She slowed at a pond, only a few meters across. It seemed too shallow for anything to inhabit it, but there were smaller things in these wilds that could pose a real threat. There was still the promise of fish, to an extent, and there were enchanted waters in the region.

Curiosity seemed to get the best of her as she approached the clear waters.
