first tasks
dinner and a movie
Almost immediately upon finishing the download jason's new task was set, how it knew who he was was a mystery since he didn't sign in and it greeted him with his name. Greetings JASON Tonight you and ERIC will see a gay romantic movie and have a nice candlelit dinner.
"Must be pre-programmed with the rings." Eric mumbled. Jason was more upset having to waste his money on a movie he didn't want to see about a bunch of homos. "So what do you wanna do first? Dinner or the movie?"
"I don't want to do either!" Jason growled.
"Hey it's your fault you were late. I could've gotten connie but no I got stuck with you and she got stuck with bridget."
"That's hot." Jason completly missed the irony of his statements. "Fine movie first, if I gotta see a couple of dudes doing it on a full stomach I'll upchuck my dinner."
The two newlyweds found the first time they could see the movie believing it's better to tear the bandaid off quickly. Unfortunately there were no gay movies in their town. "Well what do we have to do now? Just dinner?" eric frowned.
"I say we just go to dinner. He cant blame us right?"
"Right." Eric laughed dryly. "So...Rubin's?"
"Fine with me."
Jason tried to ignore the fact he had essentially made a date with another guy and focus on what he's going to have for dinner. Rubin's was pretty "swanky" but didn't break one's wallet. Good enough for jason.
Dinner came quickly, both boys arrived at 5:30. As soon as the restaurant opened. As they hoped there were very few patrons so they could get in and get out rather quickly. Being that they were still two boys did not change the staff's routine. Rubin's prided itself on being a fine establishment for lovers both new and old. As such every table was an intimate setting placing you and your love in very intimate personal space. Perfect for hand holding, footsie, and the oh so important first or even latest kiss.
"Good evening, I am leo and I'll be your waiter this loveley evening. Now what can I start you lovebirds off with this evening?" The waiter smiled much to the boys' chagrin.
"Coke." eric answered quickly avoiding looking leo in the eye.
"Dr.Pepper." Jason answered just as quickly.
"Excellent."
"Wa-" jason stopped but still caught leo's attention.
"Yes?"
Jason gulped. "How about a glass of bouron?"
Leo chuckled "I don't think-"
"Come on...it's our first date." jason added quietly.
Leo thought for a moment "I'll see what I can do." and turned quickly off into the kitchen.
"What the hell man?!" eric whispered loudly and angrily slapping his menu down on the cloth table.
"I took a shot. Only couples come here anyway."
"I don't want anyone thinking we're a couple!"
"Oh honey don't be like that." jason teased grabbing eric's hand in mock sweetness. His hand tingled intensely and stopped just as quickly when he suddenly snatched his hand away. Leo returned with two glasses for each boy.
"Enjoy."
"See, worth it." Jason raised his glass clinking it with eric and sharing in what they believed was their first taste of ****. Of course leo wasn't dumb enough to risk his job serving two clearly high school boys first date or no. So he asked the bartender to whip them up a mocktail. All the fun of alcoholism without the nasty side effect of ****. As they saw in movies and tv the boys shivered at the taste and declared "Smooth."
Once they got over the initial awkwardness both boys found they enjoyed much of the same things. Working out. Action movies. Cheerleaders with big cans. Hated school and most of all hated Mr.Gunner. Their food paid for the two boys walked to the coat check laughing about how drunk they were. In truth both boys could pass any number of sobriety tests right now. The attendant handed eric both jackets. "Oh allow me, sweetie." Eric teased drunkenly.
"Oh thank you my dear." jason laughed allowing eric the awkward task of putting on another person's jacket. Both boys felt a strange thrill as jason slid his arm slowly into his sleeve. His heart raced as eric's hand lingered on his shoulder. Their drunken laughter died down quickly when they each realized eric was still touching jason's shoulder, still stroking it slowly. Unsure why or where the pleasure came from neither boy wanted it to end any time soon.
The coat check girl cleared her throat quietly telling the boys they were holding up the line. "I'll see ya tomorrow." eric rushed as quickly as he could outside not even bothering to put his own jacket on.
"Shameful." The old woman behind jason muttered to her husand. "He didn't even kiss the poor boy." Jason glared. How dare she suggest he wanted to be kissed least of all by eric or any man. Jason stormed off to his car. HIs pseudo-drunkeness completely gone by the time he started his car.
At home jason sat angrily in his living room while his father yelled at him. "I've toldya you being stupid was gonna catch up to you! Now look at you! You gotta parade around like some fag cause you couldn't get to class on time!" Jason tried not to show his hurt at being called a fag. "If you don't straighten up boy..." as usual when his anger got the better of him his father's words failed him. Everyone knew better than to interrupt him until he finished for real. "If I get one more call from that damn school I'm taking the car!"
"No!"
"I'm not even gonna sell it, I'm gonna get a wrecker and smash the damn thing into a doorstop! You hear me boy?!"
"Yes sir." jason mumbled.
"Get outta my sight." Jason's dad grumbled throwing himself in his chair and turning on the ball game.
Jason stormed off to his room when his cellphone rang. The screen lit up "ERIC". He didn't remember trading numbers with eric at all. "Hello?"
"Jason?" jason's pulse raced.
"Eric?"
"Oh shit it is you. I don't know how but I somehow have your number in my phone."
"Yeah same here."
"Must be the app. Did you get your ass handed to you too?"
"Yeah. My dad's a dick."
"A real capper to a shit day."
"Only good part was dinner." Jason laughed. A terribly long silence fell in that lonesome room. "I think I'm still drunk." He wasn't.
"Yeah. I'll see ya tomorrow." Eric didn't wait for jason to reply hanging up quickly.
Jason groaned and opened up his laptop.
