It is early morning at the inn, and after paying for the last night's lodgings I have breakfast and leave.

Now it's time to start adventuring! I make my way toward the gates of the city. It's a beautiful day and the sun is shining, but I know that beyond the gates there is danger, and the mayor of the city has offered a bounty for clearing away monsters. Some of the more common monsters that have infested the nearby forest include slimes, which are disgusting to look at but easy to kill for the most part, and you can harvest fluids from them that you can sell to alchemists, who use them to make potions.

There have been rumours that the liquid of the slime has strong aphrodisiac effect and that there are monstrous slimes large as houses as well as acidic slimes that can eat away steel, but if there were such horrible things nearby the whole city would be in a panic right? Or so I tell myself.

Just outside the gate are other groups of adventurers. Some of them are groups of novice adventurers working together in a party, some with a veteran or two helping.
