"Alright. Maybe you should come home with me."

"What? Are you sure?"

"Yeah, I am. It's warm, safe, and best of all, caring."

"Thanks John" She gives you a hug and you hold her tight to reassure her.

"Okay, let's get out of here."

"Yeah, glad to."

You two walk out the front door and down the steps. Then suddenly to your surprise a water balloon hits Courtney right in her face. You pull her around and put your body between her and the unruly drunks. As a result several more water balloons hit you, but miss her. Before they throw more you run at the troublemakers and scare them off, leaving several unthrown balloons behind. Although you're completely soaked, at least Courtney is relatively unscathed. You then hurry over to her and find her crying again. "Hey, it's okay, they're gone now."

"This day can't get any worse can it?"

"I'm sorry Courtney, it will get better."

"Really?" She seems to disagree with you.

"Yeah, come on. Let me get you dried up, I have a towel in the car." You walk her over to your BMW, open the trunk and find only one towel. Without hesitating you give it to her. "Here you go. Dry yourself off."

She wipes her face down and then looks at you, what makeup she had ran down her face. "Oh, I didn't know you got so wet. Here." she offers the towel you try and get yourself a little dry, but to no avail. You then open the passenger door and let her in. "What about you're car?"

"Don't worry about it." Closing the door for her you go and lay down your towel the best you can, but it doesn't help much. Getting settled you start the car. She sees how soaked you are and asks "You alright? This water is freezing!"

"I'm fine." You lie, freezing your ass off.

"But it's like they poored ice water in it! You better get out of that shirt at least."

"Yeah, it is freakin' cold." You pull of your wet shirts. Tossing them in back you jokingly ask her "You okay with being in a car with a half naked man?" You pull onto the road and start driving home.

"Hahaha" Courtney Laughs, "Yeah, I'm good." She smiles as she looks at you. "Good," You think, "She's feeling better already."

Unbeknownst to you, she suddenly starts thinking "Wow, he has a great body. I never really noticed before." All you see is that she then chooses to look in the vanity mirror and freaks out at what she sees. "Oh my God I look like a clown! Why didn't you say anything?" She starts rummaging through her purse.

"What? No you don't. You look beautiful." You answer reassuringly.

"Really?"

"Of course, runny makeup or not can't hide how pretty you are."

"Thanks." She seems to relax with that and for the rest of the ride home you both relax and let the music play softly in the background.
