Yup

Owen lay back in bed and gazed at the ceiling, feeling a bit winded after all he had just gone through. He had finally been able to get around to a bit of a conversation with Tommi, only for her to jump out of bed after he mentioned Amber and Alice. No matter, he could actually use a nice little moment of peace. He occasionally noted someone jiggling the doorknob, but Tommi had thoughtfully locked up after herself. He actually began to think about how his classes might go, and --

Tommi burst back in, saying "Excuse me!" to someone out in the hallway as she brought Amber in with her and locked the door again. The next thing Owen knew, they were stacking boxes on a chair and Amber started touching the ceiling up against the wall.

"What's going on?" Owen wondered. No one really listened, so he just watched.

Evidently the large rectangular panels set in the great grid pattern of the ceiling were fairly easy to lift and remove, and there was a passageway between rooms. Amber helped Alice as she crawled on down from the other side.

"Cute," Owen noted.

Alice grinned at him as she hopped down. "I knew my studying architecture would come in handy someday."

"Owen," said Tommi, "Alice and Amber have light class loads this term and are willing to be our servants. With this passageway, they'll be able to come and go as they please while we keep your door locked with a Privacy Please sign up."

"Clever," he murmured, although he could not help but look up at the ceiling flush with the opposite wall. Was such a passageway possible from the other side -- and if so, just how much of this tunneling might there be if anyone else caught on?

"May we get you anything, sir?" teased Amber.
