Your shoes, Clem's jacket

"Alright." Clementine finally made her decision. She scopes the surrounding area one final time before giving her orders. "Take off your shoes and socks. We need as many articles of clothes as possible to distract them without us getting, uh...you know." She mumbles, giving the slightest hint of a blush on her dark cheeks.

The idea of running around bare foot on dirt wasn't very tempting but it definitely beat getting eaten alive by walkers. You make your hesitation clear before practically ripping off your sneakers as well as your socks. "What's the plan anyways? Just chuck them as far as possible?"

"Pretty much. We'll need to spread them out though, which is why you need both socks and shoes; only throwing one thing will get chewed up pretty quickly and won't give us enough time...we might actually need one more item that's a little bigger than that."

The girl glances you up and down, clearly not impressed by your lack of dress. All you had left was a t-shirt and sweatpants now that you were barefoot. Running around in boxers around Clementine was ten time worse than going without shoes so she better not be considering what you think she is!

You glance at the hat on top of Clem's head but she only glares daggers at you in response as if daring you to even suggest it. "I'll just...use this." She sighs, stripping herself of her jacket, leaving her with equal amount of clothing as yourself.

"On the count of three, throw your shoes far, but still close enough for them to notice it. I'll do the same. The second the walkers go after them, we jump off and run for the woods." You gulp nervously but Clem's radiating confidence reassures you that this plan will work. "Three...two..one!"

You chuck your shoes at full strength and watch as they bounce against the solid ground before coming to a halt further off. At first the zombies don't do anything, but once Clementine throws her balled up jacket at a shorter distance, the plan is an immediate success. The walkers only growl at first but it doesn't take very long before the entire hoard heads towards the direction of your clothes!

After a waiting a couple seconds for the painfully slow monsters to spread out, Clementine jumps off the car and you follow right after...the plan actually worked...IT WORKED! Although you aren't out of the woods yet...
