Your second child

Z7 and Abby leave you in the birthing room with Z9.

"I have just been informed that Anja has just checked in for the birth of your second child," Z9 informs you. "Follow me." She races off with you in tow.

You are brought to a separate room. Inside you see Anja she seems no different as you had just seen her for the council meeting.

"Oh William, you're here already." Anja remarks. "Good, I didn't think I could hold it much longer." She tells you. You see a ripple spread from her brain ball to all the corners of her cubic from. Then you watch as the brain ball spits into two parts one much smaller than the other. It floats through her gelatinous body to the edge where you see a bulge already forming. A ball continuing the new small brain ball pops out of the side of Anja, it is clear and wobbly and it slowly forms the body of a genderless human toddler. The ball coming to rest in its head. You kneel down and stretch your arms out as it slides towards you, not walking but gliding on jelly feet. "Dadda?" it asks.

"Yes" You reply.

"Looks like we have a new hybrid species for the galactic population what do you want to call it?" Z9 asks.

"Any Ideas?" You ask Anja.

"How about Ja? As for the species name I am at a loss." Anja replies.

"Well in science fiction on Earth we have made up species like this called Slimes but Ja (you approve of the name) here is not slimy more Jelly so maybe Jells"

"Species and individual names accepted adding to galatic database." Z9 remarked.

"Can you look after it? I already have my son and I fear he might try to merge with her to gain back the attention I give him if Ja lives with me?" Anja asks you.

"Of course." You reply. You scoop your little goo ball up into your arms, you see it shift its body trying out different looks. You take it home.
