"You took over five hundred fucking dollars from me, claiming they were for textbooks and shit. Maybe you could pay me back?" You say, beginning to calm down as you realize there is a possibility things can be made right.

"Oh... yeah. That's only fair. I'll send you a check tomorrow for everything I owe you." Ash sighs, obviously not happy with the answer you gave her.

"Okay, good." You say, grinning at your victory.

"But I will add this though, how will I paying you back help regrow our friendship? Yes, I know it's right and all but I thought-" Ash was about to continue her protest when you decided to hang up sharply.

"That should teach her a lesson. Time to get my dough back." You say, standing up and chuckling with joy.

Next morning, an envelope arrives in your mailbox. You open it up, expecting to see a check for $552.00. Instead, it's a check for $1,000.00, with a small note saying, "I will always remember you, and the friendship we had. Goodbye Jake."
