Your childhood friend Trish.

You knock on the door and wait for an answer.

"Come in," you hear in response, instantly recognising the voice as your hometown friend Trish.

"Oh thank God it is you," you say as you push open the door and enter. You see your friend sitting on her bed adding the final touches to her outfit for tonight, a pair of long droop earrings that matches her evening dress.

"John! Hi," she says as she rushes over to give you a big hug. "I'd been checking your room to see if you had arrived yet. I was going to welcome you myself personally but you beat me to it."

"Yeah I guess I did," you say as you look around her room which is in the latter stages of unpacking. "I'm so glad our rooms are near each other. I don’t know a single person other than you."

"I know. I arranged that with the house mistress after I found out you were going to be coming here," Trish tells you as she steps back to take in your appearance. "Oh this won't do at all."

"Um what's wrong with it?" you ask not knowing what's the matter with your shorts and t-shirt.

"At the start of every year the head-mistresses of each house look the other way while the final year students get together down the local pub for a pre-school drink. You're going to have to get changed. Its become something of a school tradition and so much fun. I've waited five years so that I could go. That is if you want to go?" Trish says picking up her purse.
