The urge to talk to your life-long friend is soon propelling your steps towards him, where he sits talking to the other tom cats, none of whom you know very well. He catches scent of you and immediately turns from his friends to greet you, touching his nose to yours. You sit down next to him, and his friends. One of the toms, Rainfoot, catches your eye, and you immediately look away, grateful for the fur hiding your blush.

"What did you need, Dappledleaf?" Jaywing asks you, wrapping his tail around you.

"I just came to see what you're up to." you say, head down, wishing you hadn't come. You hate having all these toms staring at you.
