You turn to follow her further back into the house.

"Again, Jessica, don't take this the wrong way, but what do you mean?!" you ask her. "I read every magazine that has you on the cover. I know you had a couple of children."

She stops walking, turning to face you.

"If you mean I was pregnant, I agree," she admits. "But you don't know about the deal with my husband."

You recall a few articles mentioned some guy named "Cash", which briefly makes you think how much you'd pay him for rights to the woman standing before you right now. Stopping yourself thinking of her that way, you make another request of her.

"Fill me in."

"Well, I've heard a lot of regular couples have deals set-up where they can get physical with any of a few famous people, without their partners becoming upset," she starts.

You nod, remembering a "Friends" plot-line involving something like that. You may have had that deal with your girlfriend, provided you'd ever had a girlfriend.

"Cash & I have a similar deal," she continues. "We can go home from an event with another person a certain number of times a year without any repercussions from the other person."

You nod some more, though you remain in a bit of disbelief about it.

"I get a bit of a break this time," she adds, leaving you unsure if she expects you're still listening. "For one, I usually skip the Golden Globes, since so many of the actors & actresses admit to drinking a lot at that one. For another, we're already IN your home."
