You try to deliver the documents

You heard your phone chime again, and you fished it out of your purse. It had a map of exactly where to go. And... EmployeeID showed your location on the map. Now THAT was a little big brother-y. Apparently during work hours they tracked where you were.

Sighing, you walked out of the security doors, through the lobby, and out into the street. You walked over to a trash can and held the folder over it, thinking that you were now out of the building and could go see about getting EDNA to straighten things out. But you stopped.

You bit your lip. If you didn’t deliver this, it could impact the company, possibly jeopardizing a lot of people’s jobs.

Stomping a heeled foot, you realized you pretty much HAD to deliver these documents. And suck up to Bernard a bit. And THEN you could go home and get out of this getup.

Hoisting your purse back up onto a proper position, you hailed a cab. It didn’t take long for one to stop, so you got in, gave the driver the destination, and sat back. You popped another lozenge in your mouth as you mentally urged the driver to get across town as fast as possible. Your day in drag was just about over. Drop these files off, schmooze a bit, and then you were free.
