“Not tonight” you tell Andy, much to his obvious disappointment. “I fancy some dancing” you add in a hope that he won’t feel so rejected.

“OK Dani, maybe I will see you later in the week?” to which you nod, and to try to convince him you mean it, you lean forward to kiss him, before you wander off again to find Lucy.

Returning to where you left her, you grab your near-empty bottle, looking from the remains in the bottom of it to Lucy, who gives you a look of innocence, as if she has no idea what happened to the rest of the drink you had left.

“Must have evaporated" she suggests, followed by a mock drunken hiccup. "Anyway, you sorted then or was that just starters?” Her words making it very clear she knows exactly what you have been up to.
