Chapter 13

Who do you think is the sleeper agent?
You think Au Revoir is the sleeper agent!
You sighed heavily. You hadn't want to suspect it, especially given the problems it could pose, but you had to say... it seemed like it was Au Revoir. Her crazed eyes and the way she seemed to be ready to take on anyone at any moment, making even her allies feel uncomfortable... Could you really trust someone like that?
"You think so, huh?! I thought it might be her! That girl gives me the heebie jeebies... But, um, why specifically do you think that? We'll want to note everything we can in our report." Goodbye prepared a notepad and pen, then nodded eagerly, hoping you'd continue.
You told her everything you could think of...{if Au Revoir's History = 1}First off, you'd learned she used to be an Adder agent. Can someone who's an Adder agent ever really fully change their stripes? What leads a person to defect from a violent, criminal organization like that and join the good guys? You knew all the girls were a little shady, but none of them had ever openly admitted to being a part of CEDIT's greatest enemies before.{endif}{if Au Revoir's Kink > 999}
Squinting in remembrance of the awkward moment, you told Goodbye about the time you'd learned Au Revoir likes to break her sexual partners and assert dominance over them. To her, it was always a challenge. If she saw that as a challenge, what about her work with the other Goodbye Girls and you, their handler? {if Au Revoir Encounter > 999}You'd seen what she was willing to do to other CEDIT agents before... It had been kind of thrilling at the time (you didn't say that), but the truth of the matter was, she had no issues humiliating her fellow agents.{endif} Goodbye gulped nervously upon hearing your vivid descriptions.{endif}{if Despedida's Suspicion of Au Revoir = 1}
Of course, Despedida's suspicion of Au Revoir was the most incriminating piece of evidence of all. She told you that she thinks Au Revoir may be smarter than she looks; there's a chance that Au Revoir never really changed sides after being an Adder agent and is still carrying out their wishes. That could mean the execution of the previous Ciaos was an attempt to throw organization here in the Goodbye Girls into disarray.{endif}{if Au Revoir's Suspicion of Despedida = 1}
Finally, you remembered back to the time that Au Revoir had thrown Despedida under the bus, just because of the latter's technological prowess. That had seemed awfully suspicious, didn't it? There was very little evidence linking Despedida and Namaste's appearance, but she'd jumped right to that conclusion. Could she have been trying to deflect suspicion?{endif}
"Geez Louise... We're going to put our top men on it right away, Ciao. You just try to stay safe until they dig up something. D-Don't let on that you're the one who gave her name to us..." Goodbye lowered her eyebrows sympathetically.
"Well gee, thanks a lot," you thought to yourself! If she thought this was going to put you into even more danger, she should have said something before you named names!
