Are you up for Karaoke?
You need to seal the deal
You enter the karaoke club and are greeted by a tiny hostess with boobs bigger than her head. As soon as she hears who your group is, she takes all of you to a private room. There’s one way privacy glass facing the club’s main stage where a frat boy is butchering an already horrible ‘Baby Come Back’ by Player. The stacked redhead at the front table is clearly the intended serenadee as she gets up and leave in a huff, quickly followed by the other girl at the table who kisses another frat boy on the cheek before running to catch up with her friend.
The room is decorated in various shades of neon and there are a couple of benches that surround a long table that has multiple bottles of saki, vodka, tequila, and whiskey on it. As the frat boy continues to sing off-key, you filter into the room.
Steve, clearly drunk, stumbles out of the room, saying something about signing up to sing ‘My Way.’
The hostess pours everyone a round of saki on the table and promptly leaves, closing the door behind her. Mr. Ito steps up to a mug with the first smile of the night, saying, “Please, everyone, take one.”
You quickly grab yours and as he takes a drink, you shoot yours down. As soon as you lower your mug, it’s re-filled.
Knowing that this is your last shot to win the clients, you need to not look like a punk. And, that’s hard with Steve stumbling around outside in the main club. As Mr. Ito drinks again, you again shoot your sake. And, again your sake is refilled by Mr. Nakamora. This cycle repeats itself five more times any though you were already drunk, you are really feeling no pain now.
This cycle is interrupted by Mr. Ito speaking again, “You and your friend may not get this contract. You really do need to prove yourself. Haru, Mr. Nakamora, go enjoy yourselves.” Haru and Mr. Nakamora quickly leave the room, leaving you alone with Mr. Ito.
“I will imitate your culture and be frank," Mr. Ito states, "You were rude, disrespectful and childish today. However, I can tell you know your business. How much do you want this deal?”
