You manage to reach it

Wandering the halls, you eventually come to a doorway that looks large and ostentatious enough to fit your mental image of a chapel. Stepping inside, you encounter a large chamber with a vaulted ceiling, at one end there is a shrine to the Great Mother, whilst at the other there are two joined, wooden booths, which you presume to be the confessional. You also spy a woman in a deep red robe kneeling before the altar, who turns to look at you as you step into the room.

“Oh my, a stranger!” she gasps as raises to her feet and approaches you “my name is Sister Lily, steward of this chapel, how may I assist you?” She looks quite young to you, no more than 20 years old, and her ginger, shoulder-length hair is braided in places. She smiles at you as she waits for your answer and you are rather taken aback by her expression of genuine interest and care.

“I... umm, was told I should come here and confess my... umm indiscretions” you splutteringly exposit.

“Well certainly, come this way” she responds, her tone just as upbeat now as when she greeted you. Taking your hand Lily leads you to the confessional and seats you in one of the booths before placing herself in the opposite. Noticing your nerves she reassures you “don't worry, what ever you say here stays between you, me and the Great Mother.”
