You make the jump

"Damn," you think again as you look behind you to see those guys still on your tail. They’re really keeping up and show no signs of slowing down. Thinking quickly, or maybe not thinking at all, you take a few steps back-wards to get a running start. You take a deep breath and lower your head to achieve maximum speed as your legs move quickly below you. You keep going forward, as if you're just watching things play out in front of you. Suddenly, you feel your foot hit the building's ledge, and then you push off into the air. Time seems to slow down around you as you ascend into the air. You hold your breath as you seem to become weightless. The jump only takes a split second, but seems much longer.

Your heart skips a beat as you fly through a large open window in the building directly across the alley. Dust fills the air around you when you feet hit the ground. You are a little surprised by your ability to make the jump and even land on your feet. Everything wasn't what you expected, but something told you that it was what was supposed to happen. You look back to the roof of the space where you jumped, only to see the three men in black look down to you. The distance between the two buildings must be around 20 feet, you estimate. “How the hell did I just do that?” you ask.

The agent’s looked pretty pissed off, and you decide its best not to wait around for them. You turn around to run through the building, until you hear a ring in a room next to you. Then you hear the sound of shoes running through the building. It seems like those Agent guys are back on your tail! The same voice that told you to take the jump is in your head telling you, “The phone is your exit.” The frantic foot steps are almost on top of you now, if you don’t do something they are going to catch you.
