You look terrible

You look at yourself in the mirror. Jesus! You hair is a mess, you have under eyes circles, your eyes are red and you are really sleepy. You try to make yourself look at least presentable with shower and make-up, but you are at best just a little successful. It's not that you look particularly bad, it's almost impossible with the body you have, but you definitely look below your standard and there is nothing more you can do about it now. You don't bother with fancy clothing you just wear neat yellow T-Shirt and tight jeans. This time your mom doesn't bother you about clothing, you guess that she sees that you don't look good. This time you and Amy are supposed to meet in front of school before classes.

"You are late" starts Amy, because indeed you are five minutes late, but then she looks at you closely "oh, you don't look good."

"Thanks" you say sarcastically.

"Sorry, it's just...you are not sick or anything?"

"No, no" you calm her down "I just didn't sleep well."

"Oh" mischievous smile appears on her face "am I a reason of that?"

How to answer to question like that? It's true, but you can't tell her that.

"I am!" she smiles "Oh come on you"she hugs and kisses you. There are many people around, but surprisingly you don't care about them, you are just too tired. "Don't worry" she whispers to you "you can get used even to being very happy. And then you'll be happy and you'll sleep well. Come on, the school will be over soon and then you'll surely feel better."

You wish you could share her optimism.
