You knocked Miranda up

"Miranda, is that you?" you ask her when she calls you up a few days later, towards the end of the week's festivities, and wait with baited breath for what she wad going to tell you.

"Hi John," she purrs into the phone, "I finally had some time to go run to the store and buy a pregnancy test and I'm pregnant," she tells you, barely able to contain her enthusiasm as she gives you the news, clearly ecstatic by it.

"I'm glad to hear you're so happy about it Miranda," you tell her as she goes on and on about it, as you wonder how this is going to effect you, and particularly your chances of being with her for more than just the one night that you were.

"I've wanted a baby of my own for a long time but Blake always says no," she tells you into the phone, wondering when she will be able to see you again, "that's why we fight all the time. Because he thinks I'm going to cheat on him and get pregnant by someone else...which I guess I just did."

"You live in Texas right?" she asks you as you begin to make arrangements to see her and help her plan for the baby.

"Let's go home together Ran," you tell her as you find your things and prepare to pack up for the trip back home, "he doesn't deserve you, you know. I'll be the man you always wanted and give you the family you've always wanted."
