You invent a history

Well to be fair you hardly thought that Master Narec would believe the truth. So you thought it would a bit fun to come up with a new culture and history.

“You see Master Narec almost 4000 years ago there was a great battle of this planet, it destroyed the previous species that inhabited the planet, but from there we the Slunni were able to gain control. We were primitive then but we started to reverse engineer the technology and data storages to learn about the galaxy and their respective ideologies” you explain, telepathically you informed the rest of the Slunni to follow with the situation.

“Both the Republic and Sith ideologies?” questioned Ventress only to be reminded by her Master not to interrupt.

“Yes, though we have had no interest in the ideologies of the Sith Empire. It was cruel, barbaric and unsustainable, so instead we studied the ideologies of the Republic and the Jedi and inducted them into our ranks. Our ancestors studied your Republic as you did the Raatkans”

Master Narec was understandably surprised, you knew he’d expected a hostile party “and the Star Forge?”

“It started to rebuild itself a few hundred years ago, and we couldn’t stop it. But I was able to purify it and made it free of the dark side’s influence. It was for this the Slunni made me their leader” you lied, it was a convincing tale.

His eyes closed, you imagined that he was sensing for any lingering dark side presence. When he found none you could sense his suspicion drop, Jedi do depend on the **** a lot “in that case we came here tracking an ancient Jedi beacon, perhaps you could explain something about that?”

“You see Master Naren for years we the Slunni have admired the Republic for much of our history, but we assumed you a dead race. Only recently did the Star Forge reform and became safe for use, and only then did we realise the Republic was still alive. We then sent that beacon so that the Republic may send a representative so that we may join them” you explain, placing down all your cards. As such you used you powers to ensure he would open to your suggestion.

“Are you looking to joint the Republic?” he asked stroking his chin in consideration “the situation is slightly complicated at the moment, but nonetheless the Republic is always looking for new members. However if that is so then I must insist that only a small group shall join us for your petition”

“Very well I shall bring...”

A/N: as usual suggestions are welcome. Some people didn’t like what I did with Ventress last chapter, so the changes will be modest, almost negligible, and I’ll just focus less on her.
