"Guys, this is Mick," Hanna said. "He's the one I had listen to the sound clip."

"Yeah, I know Mick," Aria Montgomery said. "I used to go into the music store you work at all the time when you first started."

"Oh yeah," you say. "I haven't seen in there for a while. I just assumed you dropped the 'punk' in pop-punk." Aria rolls her eyes at your comment, a mix of annoyance and flirtatiousness. "Anyway, since you all know about this, here's what I got. The music is for sure from the Twelve Hits From Hell sessions. But here's the weird thing. It's a secondary recording."

"What does that mean?" asked Hanna.

"That it's a recording of a recording." Added Spencer.

"Bingo." you respond. "But it's surprisingly crystal clear for that. It's be almost unnoticeable if not for the echo. Kind of like Weezer's kitchen tapes. But then there's the other weird thing, that echo is a buzz saw. Which begs the question of what the hell is this?" The girls all clammed up, which was my cue to go. "Well, I guess I'll see you guys the next time you have some weird mystery power tool in the background of a rock song." I got up and headed back inside when smeone stoppped me. I turned around and it was Hanna. I looked over shoulder at her friends, watching the scene unfold.

"I'm sorry," she said. "It's just, it needs to stay a secret, all right? It's not personal."

"That's fine, but I can't give you any real information unless you give me some in return."

"What is it exactly you want to give my girlfriend?" a voice behind me said. Of course, that voice belonged to Caleb Rivers.
