You go shopping with Ino

As you and Ino enter the first male clothing boutique, she says, "When buying cloth, there are five things you have to take into account. First, effort. You don't have to wear expensive clothing but you have to look nice. Also, you have to show the effort to look nice."

"Isn't it the same thing?"

"No. Wearing expensive set of suit bought off the shelf will probably make you look nice. But wearing carefully coordinated clothing or going to the tailor to make your own clothing, that is the efforts. Our style is a symbol of who and what we are," Ino say while giving a pointed look at my clothing. "Black and orange combination is good for infiltration, they can blend in with foliage in Fire Country, sand dunes in the Land of Earth and so on. But that only applies when you're on a mission. Off a mission, your clothing becomes the message that you want to project. Getting dressed is an action, and as they say, actions speak louder than words. Second thing is getting the right fit," she says while throwing few shirts which you catch. "Baggy clothing may be comfortable but they make you look fatter, shorter and more importantly, sloppier. Remember, only pregnant people can wear baggy clothing but that's only due to practical reasons."

You take the clothing and then entered a changing room. "But wouldn't wearing a fit clothing would make someone large look larger?" you say while changing into the first one.

"No. They already look large. Draping curtains over their bodies wouldn't hide that fact. In fact, it would cause people to pay more attention to their body," Ino says while pulling away the curtain of the changing room just as you finishes putting on the first cloth. "Hm," she muses. "Not bad. Want to wear leather jacket?" Ino says while holding a dark brown leather bomber jacket.

"No."

"Ok, a button-up shirt then," she says as the a shirt replaces the jacket. The shirt was a white and blue stripe tabbed collar dress shirt with a shiny stone encased in metal on each wrist section.

"Really? Cuff-links?"

"They're garnishes to your shirt," Ino shoots back.

"Point taken," I say as I take the offered shirt and close the curtain again.

"You're being uncooperative for a wrong reason." Ino says. "When you dress to attract the attention of a woman, you must take into consideration of her viewpoints. Sure, everyone have differing taste, but even then there is an unofficial standard for clothing men wear. In reverse, the same thing applies when a woman dress up to attract the eyes of her date."

You nod in understanding. "I see."

"So, did you tell Shizune clearly what you want her to wear?"

"I told her that I want to see her in a one-piec... hey!" you exclaims as you open the curtain, wearing the shirt, "You tricked me!"

"No, I don't. I'm just using your situation as an example." Ino eyes you critically. "Hm... good. We'll take this one. Next the pants and shoes."

Mercifully, searching for pants and shoes goes off faster and more smoothly, especially the shoes. According to Ino, most women doesn't pay attention to shoe types their dates will be wearing. As long as it's not sandals, slippers or shiny studded shoes, it's probably okay to wear any kind of shoes. But for the dinner, she picks up a brown leather shoes, saying that it's versatile and could be worn in both formal and informal events.

Now, carrying the shopping bags, you walk to catch up with a smiling Ino who is wringing her fingers behind her.
