You go back to the hotel

With the interviewer gone, she continued "Here, I'm back. I was saying, did you hear the message? Soon we will go to change and you can't go with me, and later we do the first show take."

You ask "Are you nervous, love?"

Adriana replies "YES, a lot! But it's a good kind of nerves, it's excitement, I can't wait to walk the runway! Anyway, I was tellin-"

You interrupted her trying to hug her, she was just so gorgeous, if possible even more then usual all glammed up like that, and so adorable in all her sparkly joyful state of eagerness. She pushed you away because of course you didn't think about how it would have messed all the work of the last hours.

She says "Wait: the hair and make-up! You'll ruin it, my sweet clumsy bear: here..." she hugged you softly, without squeezing for the said reasons.

"....So, I was saying, now you should go back to the hotel and get ready for tonight, and get back here later with my family to watch the show."

You question "What? No, I won't leave you here alone, no matter if I can't go where you change, I'll wait here for you when you finish the first take, and then stay there too for the second one."

She says "No, meu amor, it's important for me to have you in the public with my family watching me walk: you are the people I love the most, besides my daughters of course that are still too young to come and can't miss school, and I want you to be all there seeing the results of why I worked so hard these months. Can you do me this favour please, love? It really matters for me"

You reply "For you, everything. Guess I can't kiss you now, right? I mean, for the hair and make-up, and the people, and..." She stopped your babbling with a forehead kiss, light as a whisper but full of love.

You stayed with her until the very moment she left the backstage area to get changed, then the driver from before (she gave you his number) brought you back to the hotel.

You went to your room to change into the last pair of clothes she bought for you, and probably it was the most elegant and expensive one of the all, the closest thing to a personal tailored dress you could get without actually having done any measurements.

She knew you're the "all black" kind of guy, so she made sure to stick to that colour, a deep black, dark as the night not just a very dark grey, and the shirt under the suit white and very bright, almost shining to contrast with the ensemble.

You don't even want to think the money's worth you had on in that moment... The tie had a small piece of paper on it, handwritten by her: "Ask my cousin". Ask her, what?! Oh you got it, she thought you wasn't going to be able to do a proper knot without making it look shoddy... Well, after 5 trials, you had to swallow your hurt pride and admit your girl was right.
