You find a place alone

This is not your first time here. While Jon has respect due to his father's money, the Smith family has generally earned it. You have been here a few times on photo assignments with your Uncle. You have worked part of every summer since you were twelve at this cottage. You have cut the grass, cleaned the hot tub, helped put in and take out docks, and many other chores. You are always well paid. There is an unused boat house, a short distance from the cottage, that you know where a spare door key is hidden. After taking Karen on a long tour through most of the house, sampling drinks as you go, you get a bottle of good stuff and lead her to the boathouse.

You talk for awhile and pass the bottle back and forth. Karen, very drunk says, "I tricked Amber a little into to taking me out here. I hoped you would be here. She wanted to go to the college and try out. I told her to make friends here. It's hard for me to say this but I...I love you. Since seventh grade I've had a huge crush."

"You were a cheerleader and your telling me your shy?", you ask.

"No. Scared I wasn't good enough." she replies.

You tell her she is great and that you have had a crush on her for a long time too.
