You lay on your side and look at Marash.
“Marash,” You say sheepishly. “I need to tell you something.”
Marash leans on his side and looks back at you with a big smile.
“What is it?” He asks.
“I’ve … never had freedom before. And I’ve never been off Sleheyron.” You explain. “Now I’m in the middle of space, surrounded by friendly strangers, and I have no idea what to do with my freedom. I’m confused, scared and lonely. And I fear I may have just used you simply to fight back my loneliness.”
Then an awkward silence comes in between you two which you hope to break by saying, “I’m sorry.”
“Hey, you’re going through a big thing.” Marash says. “Some people think freedom from slavery is the end of the battle, but that’s wrong. It’s just the beginning of one. So if my presence can help you adapt to your new life, I’d be happy to be of use.”
“But what if I end up just using you?” You ask.
Marash lays a hand on your head and caresses your lekku.
“You didn’t steal any pleasure from me.” He says. “Rather, you made a boring trip through space a lot more fun than it usually is. I am fine with this. If by the end of it, it was just physical for you I can understand.”
You smile softly and say, “Thanks.”
“But if you don’t mind, I am secretly hoping you’re going to develop serious feelings for me.” Marash says after which he winks.
You smile back at him and say, “I hope so too.”
The two of you look each other lovingly in the eyes for a while until you start feeling cold. You let him know and Marash then suggests going to bed. It feels weird to you getting under the covers with a man. You’ve never done that before. But then again, you’ve also never had sex before.
Each of you grabs a pillow to hold. Then you fall asleep while facing each other.
