Chapter 15 by TheTruePenguin TheTruePenguin

Do you get to class without any interuptions?

You establish a backstory

As you walked along, making small talk, Tsukune seemed to finally be coming around, some of the color returning to his face.

"Kurumu, what did you mean when you said Michael was your Mate? Are you two married or something? If you don't want to tell us, that's fine, I was just curious." Tsukune asked, bringing the conversation to a momentary pause as Kurumu's eyes swept over the small group before settling on you.

"Don't look at me, it isn't going to change anything with us." You said as Kurumu nodded.

"I meant he's my Mate. I'm a Succubus, and Succubi have these people who are your Mates of fate, which are kind of like or soul mates. Anyways, Michael is mine. I suppose you could see it as a kind of marriage, although I would prefer to have an actual wedding one day to make it official." Kurumu answered.

"Oh, okay. Is it supposed to be a secret, cause it's safe with us." Tsukune replied as Moka nodding along with him.

"Why would it be a secret, I'm so happy to have my Mate, I'll be surprised if I don't go telling everyone I meet?" Kurumu asked confusedly.

"I think Tsukune thinks you don't want people to know because you had to check with me first before you told them." You supplied as Kurumu "ohh"ed. "The truth of the matter is Kurumu is hesitant to tell you that she's a Succubus because Succubi in general have a bad reputation for stealing men away from their girlfriends and wives only to discard them when they lose their usefulness. Kurumu would never do something like that though, she's incapable of stealing anything, except my heart." You continued as Kurumu blushed, while both Tsukune and Moka looked at you strangely.

"Are you alright? You seem like a delinquent but you act all sappy?" Moka asked the question on both of their minds.

"Yeah I'm fine, I do get what you're saying though, I've never been one for sweet talking a girl, but ever since I found Kurumu I just can't seem to help it, maybe it's a byproduct of the Mating Ritual or something." You answered, waving her off.

"There's also the fact that students aren't supposed to go around revealing their monster forms to other students." Kurumu added.

"I think that only applies to public areas and actually turning into our monster forms Ku." You retorted, "Although I suppose the point still applies since even knowing that you're a Succubus would make it more difficult to make friends with other girls." You added.

"Oh well if it would make you feel better, because I trust you both as well I can tell you which Youkai I am. And it doesn't matter to me that you're a Succubus, you already found your Mate so their no need to worry about you going after any other guys right?" Moka offered and Kurumu gave a soft smile before seeing the pinning glare the pinkette vampiress had. It would seem history was repeating itself, only this time Kurumu wouldn't be standing between them.

"Thanks Moka, and what about Tsukune?" Kurumu asked, and an idea popped into your head.

"Oh well, he's-" Moka started only to be cut short as you jumped in.

"He's a human." Dead silence as you swore Tsukune's face drained of all color, leaving him resembling a snowman while both girls looked at you in shock.

"No, that's, I'm, Ah." Tsukune began stuttering as a very much vulpine grin spread across your face, and you doubted it would be the last time.

"I'm just kidding Tsukune. You definitely smell like a human but so do I. Consequence of leaving my entire life in the human realm. I didn't even know that I was a monster until I got the letter." You said as Tsukune heaved a sigh of relief, a sentiment that seemed to be shared with Moka to a lesser degree.

"What do you mean you didn't know you were a Youkai, how can you not know?" Kurumu on the other hand...

"I mean I never knew I was a Youkai, I never had any crazy powers, or turned into a Youkai before, I don't even know how. I suppose to most Youkai here, I'm something of an outcast since I can't change like the rest of you. To be honest I'm pretty sure I'm not even a pure blood if that matters." You said, which actually seemed to take the heat off of Tsukune as all three were focused on you now.

"But then again, I suppose it just gives me a better perspective on the whole coexistence thing huh? If my parents could fall in love and have three children, and I could live in the Human world my whole life and never have any problems, surely others can too right?" You said with a smile that you hoped looked kind.

"I'm still stuck on the fact that you don't even know what kind of Youkai you are. And what makes you think you aren't a pure blood, not that that matters to me, I'd love you even if you were a normal human." Kurumu said which surprisingly made Tsukune smile as well.

"Well, I'm assuming that if I was a pure then that means both of my parents would've been Youkai and I would've noticed something strange about me growing up right, but because my blood is diluted, it just made it easier to blend into the humans. If I had to guess, my mom was the Youkai since I don't think my dad would just up and leave his three monster children with a human woman, right?" You asked.

"I'm sorry to say it wouldn't be that unusual all things considered." Moka said and both you and Tsukune looked at her in shock. You supposed it should've been expected with kids like Saizo that their homelifes weren't the best.

"Yeah, there any number of reason he could've left you, because he thought you were too weak, because he didn't think you were a Youkai at all, or even because he knew you were a Youkai, and hoped you'd give into your instinct or something and kill your mom and bunch of other humans. It could even depend on what kind of Youkai you are, a lot of Youkai frown on interbreeding, Succubi definitely not being one of them considering..." Kurumu added.

"Wow, I guess I had a very jaded view of the Youkai world, so far most people have been fairly nice here." You said, lost in your thoughts.

"Well yeah, Youkai Academy is one of the foremost Academies, but their main view is on coexistence with the humans, most of the students here have to at least be open to the idea to even get in." Moka answered this time.

"Well, that was depressing so how about we play a game to lighten things up guys?" Kurumu suggested, most likely picking up on your somber mood.

"How about we try and help Michael figure out what kind of Youkai he is. It won't be easy, but at least it'll get our minds off all that gloom and doom." Kurumu said cheerily, and you couldn't help but smile at her. Even if you were fully aware of which Youkai you were, you were aware of which mannerisms you were supposed to have to mimic your kind to blend in.

"Okay, do you have any outstanding qualities, any preferences in food?" Moka was apparently joining in, and you realized this could be your first bonding experience with the small group.

"None that i've really noticed so far." You answered only for Kurumu to jump in.

"Hey, what about yesterday when you got sent through that classroom, and you just got up and dusted yourself off like it was nothing, and then you didn't even have to try when you sent that jerk Saizo flying!" Kurumu supplied as both Moka and Tsukune's eyebrows raised.

"You got into a fight with Saizo yesterday?" They asked in unison, before blushing.

"Yeah, I mean I wouldn't really call it a fight, it was more like a one-sided beat down." Kurumu sounded so excited that you wondered if you should let her get captured again just so you could save her before discarding that idea on the grounds that it seemed just as counteractive as arguing simply for the purpose of having makeup sex.

"I would hardly call one kick a beat down, Ku." You retorted which seemed to only make Moka's eye open wider.

"Any other qualities?" Moka sounded almost hesitant in her questions, you wondered why.

"Well, since Kurumu seems to know me better than I know myself, have you noticed anything else about my dear." You tone was teasing, but it seemed to go right over Kurumu's head as she began to gush about you, much in the same way she gushed about being a Succubi.

"Well, surely you've noticed the aura he seems to have around him, it's one of the first things I noticed about him." Kurumu asked Moka this time, who blushed in return.

"Yes, I did notice." She seemed almost ashamed of her answer.

"Hmm, I have one last question before I have a suggestion that would fit all those criteria. Could you please open you mouth, Michael ?" Moka queried as you did so, albeit confusedly. Whatever she was looking for, she seemed to find as she nodded in acceptance.

"They're slightly smaller than I'd expect, but it could be due to the breeding like you said." Moka muttered, more to herself than you.

"How should I put this, have you considered the possibility that you may be a vampire?" Moka asked, and once again, the quartet went silent.

Someone has some explaining to do...
