Chapter 9
by hewhoismany
What task will you do next?
You end up Having a few drinks and Talking to a stranger all in one go.
After looking over what’s available to you, it looks like Having a few drinks is the best idea. You head over to the bar and sit down, waiting patiently for the bartender, some guy your age who doesn’t look like he knows what he’s doing, to finish serving some other people and notice you’re waiting. Now, technically speaking, you’re not 21 yet, and shouldn’t be drinking. But this isn’t your first time in a bar, and it wouldn’t be your first time having ****.
It’s pretty rare to get carded, in your experience, so you’re not worried about that. What is weird is how long it’s taking for the bartender to get to you. You start to realize that maybe it’s because you’re a guy now? Did being a girl really get you more attention from male bartenders? Part of you is offended at that, but another part of you sees why. After all, talking to a pretty girl would always be the top priority. You shake your head, trying to remember those thoughts aren’t you, they’re the changes.
The bartender, whose nametag reads ‘Dominic’, finally gets to you, looking entirely unenthused as he asks you, “What can I get for you?”
That exact topic has been one you’ve been thinking over while you waited. It’s become obvious how context-based the changes are, so if you’re not careful your drinks could make you more Manly. That’s why you try to look stoic and tell him, “I’ll take a Strawberry Daiquiri.” After all, sweet mixed drinks with fruit are generally considered to be pretty girly, right?
The bartender pauses and then asks, “ID?” You freeze, because it’s not like the fake Driver’s License with a legal drinking age is going to look like you anymore, but you pull it out anyway. To your own shock, which you try to hide, the picture on the ID matches what you look like now perfectly, and Dominic nods his head. You put it away, but then the bartender tentatively says, “So, hypothetically, if I don’t know how to make a Strawberry Daiquiri, would there be anything else you’d want?”
You feel the urge to facepalm. “I don’t know. Maybe a Cosmo?” As long as it’s girly, that’s all that matters.
There’s a pause, though you can’t see his face as you’ve begun holding your head in your hands in frustration. “...Maybe I don’t know how to make that either.”
“A Midori Sour?”
“Never heard of it.”
Your hands fall to the bar, with enough **** to make Dominic jump back at the sound. Completely fed up with this guy, you ask, “Are there drinks you do know how to make?!” At this point, you’re unsure if this guy is even the real bartender.
Dominic runs a hand through his voluminous black hair, which looks like he just got a haircut an hour ago, ruffling it up as he thinks. “Uh...I can get you beer. Or ale. Or whiskey. Or tequila. Or scotch.” Just when you’re sure all he knows how to do is pour liquid into glasses, he snaps his fingers. “Oh! And I can make an Irish Car Bomb!” Hearing that, you let out a huff and start to get up. After all, it sounds like all of those drinks sound too Manly.
But before you can get away, someone sits next to you and tells Dominic, “Two whiskeys, dry, ice on the side in a glass.” He gets to work on what is asked of him, you turn to see who has approached. It’s a woman. For a moment, that’s all you can really process. She’s looking at you with a sparkle in her hazel eyes, and your eyes can’t do anything other than stare at her gorgeous face. Once you are able to pry them away, you realize she’s completely gorgeous. With long red hair that cascades down her back like a curtain and the kind of curves that only a day ago you would have killed to have, she is obviously drawing a lot of eyes. And she chose to sit next to you. Her taste in fashion is amazing too, considering what is clearly a designer dress, in a gorgeous saffron shade, that clearly shows off her cleavage quite well. When you meet her eyes again, you see she’s smiling. “Don’t worry, the drinks are on me.”
You laugh at that, and sit back down. Neither of you give the other a name, instead you just...start talking. It comes weirdly natural to you, and you’re really liking the attention this woman is giving you. As your drinks are served, and you each take one or two ice cubes from the glass to put in your own whiskey, you take a moment to think about this crazy situation. Yesterday, you were a woman, one who had never really thought of another woman as ‘pretty’ with anything other than jealousy in mind. Now, thanks to this app, you’re a guy, and you can’t keep your eyes off of her. After you and her both go through a couple glasses of whiskey, getting you to the point where you’re starting to really get tipsy, you remember you need to click on the Task.
Confidence 2->3
Manlieness 13->18
Then you click on the other Task, since you also did Talk to a stranger.
Conversation 0->1
Manliness 18->24
The huge jump in Manliness is something you feel happening right away. Your entire body expands as you grow taller, stronger, and overall more manly in every way. For a second you’re terrified of your clothes finally giving up the ghost and ripping to pieces, but then you notice that for once they’re growing with your body, changing from women’s clothes into men’s. When you’re done changing, you look down at yourself and feel weirdly proud. You look like a football player! You’re manly as hell! Plus, your **** tolerance must have gone up, because you’re barely buzzed now. But then your eyes go back to the girl you’ve been drinking with. Did she notice your changes?
Does the woman notice your changes?
