You design a new series of ships

Back with the Slunni, you were taken aback by just how quickly things seemed to develop. The galaxy seemed to descend into a thousand different wars and planetary civil wars, and as all too soon did your preparations appear to show holes.

Specifically the Republic were finding more and more ships disappearing with no survivors. Baffling Republic commanders and the Jedi but you knew what it meant. The Malevolence. And you quickly realised that you needed some more advanced technology.

And that meant another meeting with the ever so lovely Silara, as your chief engineer squealed with excitement for your new requests. As she spent a night busily drawing up new blueprints and designs, by the next morning she already had two more ready.

“Okay Master, I have two new designs for you, this first one is an all-purpose starfighter. It’s a little complicated to build and quite expensive but it’ll be unmatched in dogfighting” she gushed showing you her first design. A small stubby fighter with large body missile chambers.

“These babies are our new Supremacy fighters. They’ll be able to equip both proton torpedos and anti-fighter missiles, and both the torpedos and missiles are equipped with droids that will lock on to enemy hard points. We can sent a barrage of ten of each for a devastimg strike” she explained causing you to whistle.

“That’s a lot of firepower” you remark.

“Yes but it’ll have to return to a cruiser to reload after that or rely on it’s normal lasers” she explained “but I assure you even then it’s better than any droid fighter even without missiles”

“I’ll take your word for it” you say “now you have me an interdictor cruiser right”

“Yes” she said, tapping her pad a few times and bringing up a new image.

“This is the Star Phalanx, our new interdictor craft, designed to pull forces out of hyperspace and prevent ships from entering hyperspace. Tech that will not be developed until the galactic civil war. Though I’ve made my own additions to the design, particularly with the addition of a point defence system. As these ships are prone to drawing in debris and enemy fighters” she explained.

“A good addition, anything else?” you ask.

“I’ve also equipped the Phalanx with twin tri-turbolaser batteries. Not near the firepower of the Star Avenger but still decent” she explained.

“Good designs, I’m certain they’ll give us the edge against the Separatists” you say, more importantly they’ll help you against the Malevolence as you had some very precise plans for it.
