You both go to the clinic

After a hearty breakfast, the both of you made your way back to the clinic to get your respective Daniel's Injections.

Since Benz had not been processed by the clinic before today, he was examined by the doctor first. As you aptly predicted, Benz was classified as being in the gray zone for the Daniel's Injection and was told that while he did not have to get injected, it was highly encouraged that he did get injected to support the continued survival of the human race.

Having had processed all of this already last night, Benz readily agreed and was taken to a separate room to be injected.

It was then that the doctor turned to you, "Lexus, how can I help you today?"

Suddenly alone with your own thoughts, you took the time to reflect on the decision that you just made. Of course, you could keep your word to Benz and get injected today as well. But...

But if you wished to, you could decide to not get the Daniel's Injection now. 'You could always get injected later', you argued to yourself. You only promised Benz that you'd carry his child. You didn't say when you'd do it. And besides, he could change his mind over time.
