You begin to have second doubts

As you enter the office, you begin to feel like this was a horrible decision. Luke hasn't exactly given a shining first impression, his father even less so. They clearly see themselves as superior to you and you doubt that you are nothing but a tool to them to make their pack stronger. At least you won't be stuck in this mansion for the rest of your life; you'll be on familiar ground, surrounded by the people who love you. No matter how loveless this marriage is destined to be, at least you won't be alone.

Francis has you step into his office. You stand to the side with your soon-to-be husband while he and Khayone fill out the paperwork that will bind your packs together for the foreseeable future. Then they have the two of you sign the forms that will declare your marriage legal. Before too long, you are married to Luke Castillo and the Bloodrose and Solar Silence packs are allies.

The ink barely dries before Francis speaks once more. "Now that the legalities have been handled, it's time to cement our deal." he says dryly, "I fully expect you to be plump with your first pup before the end of the year."

You blink rapidly at that. It's already August with September rapidly approaching, does he really believe you'll take that quickly? What would he do if you didn't fall pregnant? Would he back out the deal? Attack your pack in retaliation? A feeling of dread sinks deep into your stomach. This could go very poorly very quickly.

"You can do as you please now." Francis adds on, "Luke, feel free to take him to your room. Your things have already been packed and I'm sure the others are already loading them for the trip back into Bloodrose territory. You will start your journey once you've done your duty. Do not disappoint me son."

"Of course father." he says, bowing his head in respect before leading you away. You are shaking at this point; you've never kissed anyone, much less done the deed. And you've barely known Luke for an hour and now you have to bare yourself to him, let him inside you, and call him your husband. This was not what you were expecting at all.
